Apparently...

I've had Vancouver on my mind for at least 10 years now. While cleaning out a few of my cabinets today, I came across these newspapers and various other magazine articles about Vancouver stuffed in a folder.

I'm sooo busy right now yet sooo excited about moving out there. I should even have a place to live by the end of this week. (Keep your fingers crossed for me.) You won't see much blogging from me over the next few weeks, but I'll try my best to keep you all updated on my move. If you don't see any posts, just email me at my AOL account.

I WISH this was the current exchange rate. (And look at Britain. O...M...G!!!) This is pre-Euro, too.

You will love it there. I lived in Washington for 4 yrs and would go to Vancouver during my summers off from college as much as I could. I hope you will continue to blog when you get there.

Look at how young but still dorky and cheap Clark Howard is in that second picture. LOL The 1997 currency rate is unreal. I don't think we will ever see those good rates ever again unfortunately.

Hi, Lauren. Yes, I will continue to blog when I get out to Vancouver but not until I finally get settled out there (that may take a few weeks since I have quite a few things to do once I get there). I will be blogging to my Vancouver-related blog, though. I'll post here to direct everybody there once I have it spiffed up.

Amy,

I got a good chuckle out of Clark Howard's picture, too. No matter how young or how old, he will always be a dorky cheapskate to me, too. His voice (or maybe it's his over-reactive nature) really annoys me, too.

The currency rates just floored me. My five months in Vancouver would actually be affordable if the Canadaian dollar was still that weak. The American dollar is just a joke right now, and just when you think it can't get any weaker, it does. Boo, American dollar!!!
